It is endless delays error. So let's understand this harmful behavior and also how to change it, so it can be removed as an obstacle forever.

Wrongly delays:

Lord Buddha said: "There are only 2 mistakes you can make in life. The first error would not take the first step and the second is that it has taken the first step, not to go all the way."

I am surprised how few take the first step. Many people who speak and read about religion, spirituality, Zen, yoga, meditation, etc. really did not start a personal meditation program. They even come to me and discuss these issues in great detail, but fail to do it. Meditation, in this respect, is just like exercise, you can read every book in the gym, but until you break a sweat you will have zero benefits.

There are very deep and now known medical benefits of meditation. Evidence is more and more emerge as meditation helps to reduce stress, cure disease, increase concentration, to increase the capacity of the brain and improve your quality of life, but to enjoy these benefits you need to exercise. Reading and talking all the world will not help, you need to get busy to do so.

Solutions for delays:

There are several steps which may help should you end your practice habit of procrastinating and begin meditation. Here are the recommendations for you.

1. Start small: Do not try to sit in meditation for an hour a day right off bat. It simply would be too. Although the initial burst of inspiration you can get you to do this too early, it will be very difficult to maintain that intensity for long. The benefits of meditation are not immediate, they are earned over time so a sustainable practice is necessary. Therefore, start with what you can easily manage and then build from there. This will help you enjoy your practice more and also drive it less.

2. Create a meditation space: Create a small space in your home that you will use for your meditation practice. Keep there almost everything, so it is easy and attractive for you to start your daily session. Place there anything that inspires you and keep has your pillow, etc., so that when it is time for your little practice you should do in order to get it started. This will go a long way in preventing thoughts opportunity to dissuade you from taking your daily spiritual work in

3. Stop procrastinating in general: procrastination is truly a disease. This will delay and prevent you living your life fully. So stop this habit, not only in the context of your meditation practice, but in general. Try your very best to do what must be done immediately without concern for humor. Just moved from an activity that requires your attention next, answering the call of the moment and you will find yourself building terrific momentum.

This moment will then pass on all aspects of your life, including the most important, your daily practice of meditation. More things to do as soon as the time is right, more you will find yourself free from the disease of procrastination. Free of this disease, your life will open, your meditation practice will blossom and you will certainly fulfill your highest destiny.
